5 Tips for Visiting Little Talbot Island State Park

Little Talbot Island State Park is a beautiful state park located in northeast Florida. With gorgeous beaches and crystal waterways, it is a picturesque location that both tourists and residents enjoy. The park offers hiking and walking trails. It also boasts numerous different ecosystems all within its acreage. Whether you are spending a day at the beach or exploring the lands around it, there are a few important tips that you should know. 5 Tips for Visiting Little Talbot Island State Park Bring Comfortable Shoes Little Talbot Island has many trails to explore. The Natural Loop Trail is among the shortest of these at less than a mile. The terrain is even on this walkway making it perfect for families with younger children to explore it. For those with more advanced abilities, there are several walking trails that run along the beaches and coastal reefs. Because this reef is underdeveloped, it can be harder to navigate for the novice hiker. Paved trails are also available for those that require accessible and wheelchair-friendly options. more Watch for Animal Tracks Little Talbot Island prides itself on being one of the few islands in the barrier that remains untouched by urban sprawl. As a result, wildlife has been able to flourish in its natural habitat. It is not uncommon for visitors to see the tracks of animals who call the park home. Tortoises, snakes, and opossums have been known to saunter across the hiking trails. Bobcats, too, reside at Little Talbot Island so be on the lookout for their tracks! Look for Wedding Parties Little Talbot Island is home to more than just land animals, birds, and marine life. This barrier island is also home to the start of many marriages! Since the middle of the 20th century, Little Talbot Island has hosted both beach and woodland weddings. The backdrop of the white sands against the sparkling blue waters makes it an ideal spot to celebrate love. Don't be surprised if you pass a blushing bride—or runaway groom—while visiting! Wear Your Sunscreen Little Talbot Island boasts an impressive five miles of beaches all within the park's grounds. On warm summer days, these sands are filled with people enjoying the waters. A nearby boardwalk makes the beaches easier to access. Spending a day in the Florida sun can get exhausted and be hard on the skin. Be sure to bring sunscreen before heading out. Call in Advance If you want more of a structured day, that is not a problem. Little Talbot Island offers visitors the chance to explore the lands with help from a tour guide. Whether it is a volunteer or park ranger, these helpers will explain the beauty and history of the park as you walk about the natural landscapes. Make sure to call ahead to reserve your time and assure availability. If you want to really make your visit to Little Talbot Island memorable, why not buy a new vehicle while you are here? Come see us at DARCARS Orange Park CDJR today! We are waiting to help you into the car of your dreams—and your budget!

These Widebody Charger variants have exaggerated fender flares that extend the body width by 3.5 inches to accommodate bigger tires. more Sculpted aerodynamic bumpers at the rear enable the integrated fenders to complement the basic body design. All new Chargers come with a raised hood, high-spec wheels, and muscular front-end design. Higher trims get aesthetic add-ons like chiseled rocker panel accents, hood scoops, projector LED fog lamps and power-adjustable heated exterior mirrors with manual fold-away 2. Abundant Interior Space With Quality Materials & Tech The new big-bodied Charger sedan is not only comfortable for your family but also a terrific cargo hauler. With 104.7 cubic feet of interior space, it provides sufficient room for five passengers to stretch out without struggling. In addition to 16.5 cubic feet of trunk volume, its 60/40 split-folding rear seat opens up additional space for stowing luggage in a neat, organized manner. Cloth upholstery comes standard, but there's Nappa/Alcantara leather interior with carbon fiber bezels on higher versions. A 7-inch touchscreen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, push-button start, remote start, and power-adjustable front seats are all available by default. Higher-tier models get an 8.4-inch touchscreen, heated front/rear seats, a heated steering wheel, and a sunroof among other premium offerings. 3. A Stimulating Choice of Powerful V8s Anyone who's after a visceral thrill will never find a better engine than a V8, and the new Charger comes with three HEMIs to pick from. Starting the V-8 lineup is the R/T that uses a 5.7-liter V8 engine to churn out 370 hp and 395 lb-ft of torque. A little step-up from the R/T is where things get more exciting. Under the Scat Pack's hood is a 6.4-liter V8 engine that churns out 485 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque. Wrapping up the V-8 lineup is the SRT Hellcat's supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine rated at a staggering 707 hp and 650 lb-ft torque. 5 Favorite Spots for Ice Cream in Jacksonville, FL

People flock to Jacksonville to enjoy the beautiful beaches and the long, hot summers. After a few hours in the sun, however, a little cooling down may be necessary. There's nothing more refreshing on a hot, summer day than cold ice cream. If you're in Jacksonville and looking for a refreshing treat, you've in the right spot. 1. Sweet Pete's Ice Cream This ice cream spot is magical. As their slogan says, this place is more than just a shop: it's an experience. The decor is whimsical and strives to cater to your childhood fantasies as much as it strives to cater to your sweet tooth. You'll definitely get “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” vibes when you walk in. You can even visit the shop's candy factory and watch as the candy is made. more 2. Kilwins in Jacksonville This shop was originally founded in 1947 and the owners have tried to keep the shop true to the era from which it sprung. So, if you visit, you're sure to see lots of nods to a time long passed, like boat-shaped paper hats, long counters offering lots of delicious treats and hand-spun milkshakes. In addition to offering their own brand of ice-cream, they also offer chocolates and other sweets as well. 3. Three FX Ice Cream and Waffles If you're looking for a unique experience, you'll definitely want to try Three FX Ice Cream and Waffles. At this shop, you can literally watch your ice cream being made. MayDay Ice Cream MayDay is a contemporary ice cream shop, with a fun, hipster vibe. They make all of their delicious ice cream in-house and they offer really unique flavors like coffee and donuts, blueberry Earl Grey and bourbon pecan. For those who love ice cream but are lactose intolerant, they have several dairy-free flavors that are equally delicious. Fun fact: their name is a nod to our military men who fought in world war II. Pilots found out that the cold air at the high altitudes, at which they flew, provided for making great ice cream. The name of the shop is an acknowledgment that even in bad times, you can find a little joy. 5. Bruster's Real Ice Cream You can get a hint of what this ice cream shop is about from its name. This shop, located on Atlantic Blvd. is all about the ice cream. You'll get big scoops and big flavors but not many frills. If you're a fan of ice cream that probably sounds pretty good to you. They do have some unique creations like their five-cone ice cream cake, however. If you're in town, try one of these awesome ice shops. 4 Classic Dodge Muscle Cars

If you're looking for a muscle car on today's automobile market, you may be hard-pressed to find one. Although a handful of these powerful cars are still being produced, it was more common to find them in the '60s and '70s. During this time, Dodge was one of the top muscle car automakers. Take a look at some of Dodge's classic muscle cars that have been the inspiration for their more modern relatives. 1968 Dodge Dart The 1968 Dodge Dart was one of the earliest high-performance muscle cars in Dodge's lineup. It had three engines to choose from, but to get the most power under the hood, you would have chosen the 383-cubic-inch 6.3-liter V-8. This incredible block produced 375 horsepower and up to 480 pound-feet of torque and could go from zero to 60 in a mere five seconds. Its impressive quarter-mile time of 13.3 seconds at 107 mph made this car barely street legal. With its two-door compact size, boxy shape, and bumblebee stripes, it had a distinct look that set it apart. 1969 Dodge Coronet Super Bee more A matte-black, lift-off fiberglass hood complete with a massive forward-facing scoop gave the 1969 Dodge Coronet Super Bee its aggressive appearance. It was equipped with a 440-cubic-inch V-8 engine that could deliver a powerful 390 horsepower and 490 pound-feet of torque. Another unique feature of this model was its six-pack, which means it had three two-barrel carburetors instead of the standard four barrels. This car also came with an upgraded HEMI-grade suspension that gave it improved handling. Surprisingly, this was Dodge's least expensive muscle car, but some would say it was one of their greatest. 1970 Dodge Challenger As the '60s rolled over and became the '70s, the muscle car trend started to lose popularity, but not before the 1970 Dodge Challenger hit the market. This iconic model had a lot going for it, including its appealing style. It featured dual hood scoops, longitudinal side stripes or bumblebee wraparound side stripes, quad headlamps, and full-length taillamps. It could be ordered in either a hardtop or a convertible version and had its own distinct profile. Several engines were available for the Challenger, one of the most track-ready engines being the 340-cubic-inch V-8. It could pump out 290 horsepower according to Dodge, but if you ask drivers, they'd tell you it was more like 350 horsepower. 2006 Dodge Charger Perhaps not as classic as the other models on this list, the 2006 Dodge Charger was Dodge's push to bring back the iconic muscle car look and power of days gone by. At the top trim level of the 2006 Charger, a 6.1-liter HEMI V-8 engine was equipped. It could produce up to 425 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. This is what paved the way for the powerful vehicles found in the Dodge lineup today. Although you can't find these models on today's car lots, you can see some of their modern-day offspring. What We've Heard About the 2021 Ram 1500

Recently leaked photos of the 2021 Ram 1500 made a splash in the news. We've collected everything we've seen and heard about the 2021 Ram 1500 so you can know what to expect. New Convenience Features According to Autoblog, the 2021 Ram 1500 will have some serious convenience features, including two that have been a part of Ram's heavy-duty pickups for a few years now. First, we expect to see a bed-view camera that is mounted on an LED brake light in the back of the truck's cab. We also expect another convenience feature from Ram's heavy-duty range: surround-view cameras will make up part of the Ram 1500's 360-degree camera system, now with trailer tow mirrors. We've spotted similar mirrors on the Ram 1500 Rebel TRX prototypes, too. Finally, another convenience feature we expect to see is the pro trailer backup assist. When backing up, typically a driver would need to turn the steering wheel in the opposite direction of where they wanted the trailer to go. Pro trailer backup assist makes backing up with a trailer easier by allowing the driver to turn the system's dial in the direction they want the trailer to back up. The magic of the Ram 1500's software will then allow the turning request to happen. more Exterior Weight Loss We expect the 2021 Ram 1500 to keep up with the stylistic exterior redesign of the 2019 model, which added a revised bumper, a new grille, and massaged headlights, among other features. However, by far the most exciting addition was the loss of almost 225 pounds from the Ram 1500's frame due to the switch to a different exterior material. Stylish Interior The interior of the 2021 Ram 1500 is likely to be even more stylish, with the redesigned shapes and creases on a revised dashboard. Expect to find luxurious interior features like a robust infotainment system, an improved heating and cooling system interface, a four-post steering wheel, and 4G LTE Wi-Fi. Engine Options The current edition of the Ram 1500 comes with an incredibly powerful lineup of engine options, and we expect to see those continue in the 2021 edition of the 1500. Each engine is paired to rear- or four-wheel-drive systems and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The engine lineup features the 3.6-liter V-6 engine, which gets an impressive 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. This engine comes with the eTorque mild-hybrid system, which can create electricity while braking. Upgrade to the 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine, available either with or without the eTorque system, for a monster 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. Finally, the 3.0 liter turbodiesel V-6 engine gets 260 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque. Release Date The 2021 Ram 1500 is scheduled to begin production in late August 2020, which means there should be an early fall release date. Keep looking for updates!
